Most of think about leaving town or running away when we need a break from the stressors of life, but you don’t need to go any further than your backyard. Peace is in the present. Thinking about what you have to do tomorrow or before the week’s end can begin a cycle of worry, anxiety, and make you physically ill. To stop the cycle remind yourself that you only have to breathe through this moment. Some days are more difficult than others to stay in the present, but if you practice living hour by hour your day will slow down, things will get done, and you’ll be in a much calmer state of mind.
