Good Sunday Morning, Friends! My Soul Intention: they cannot make you miserable unless you allow them to make you choose misery. There are people we marry, are related to and grow up with that make choices which make them miserable. Misery loves company, and misery is contagious. When people feel miserable they like sharing it and one of the ways they share it is to project it on to you. They may blame you for something you did, blame you for something you didn’t do, or make you feel as though you owe them something. They need to make an excuse for their misery and they are going to try their hardest to convince you that you are the reason. Before you know it, you feel more miserable. You feel guilty, and you stop doing the things that brought you joy. If you aren’t careful, you will catch their misery and you will carry it and infect everyone who loves you. Miserable people are miserable because they cannot accept responsibility for their choices. To quarantine yourself from catching it, choose joy.
