Good Saturday Morning, Friends! My Soul Intention: Sometimes, God takes what you love most, and although you have no choice in what he takes, you do have a choice in how you give it. I remember a song I use to sing when I was growing up called “God Loves a Cheerful Giver….give him all you’ve got.” I loved that song and what I love most is the concept that each gift you have is temporary, because nothing lasts forever. Society embraces saving, and clinging to our finances, our cars, our clothes almost as if to say these things define you. These things don’t define you, they are gifts, and although they’re nice, they’re fragile. You don’t own anything: not your spouse, not your kids, not your health…nothing. Learning to live for one another is the only source of wealth possible on earth. No one gets out alive, and in the end learning to let go is as important as learning to receive.
