Good Thanksgiving Morning, Friends! My Soul Intention: I appreciate the bad times as much as the good times in helping me on my path. Thanksgiving is a time of giving thanks, and I remember my father’s blessing said to all of us around the table. “We thank you Lord for our many blessings; the big and the small, the happy and the sad, and the lean times as well as the abundant.” My dad was not an educated man, but he was wise with life’s ebb and flow. We teach our children to be grateful for the love in their lives, and their success, but we may forget to teach them the importance of being grateful for the rough times too. The rough times build character and strength in a way the good times cannot. The rough times also show us our vulnerability and need for God. Most of us would be self-centered and superficial without our struggles. This year at your Thanksgiving table remember to give thanks for your good and bad times. Both of them are like water washing over a stone in an attempt to make it shinny and new. Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!!!!
