Good Wednesday Morning, Friends! My Soul Intention: It’s the mistakes you haven’t made yet that hold the key to growth and understanding. From the moment your child brings home a red mark on their paper they’re being conditioned. Children learn early that a red mark or a minus means they made a mistake. Depending on how those closest to them talk and react to the mistake helps determine how the child deals with mistakes and criticism in adult life. For the most part hearing criticism is difficult, but hearing negative self-talk is worse because you cannot escape yourself. Negative self talk leads to fear and anxiety about trying new things, yet trying new things is the key to understanding new concepts and ideas. No one is perfect, and if you don’t try new things you’ll become stale and outdated. Accept mistakes you make as opportunities to learn and become more creative. No one accomplishes a goal mistake free.
