Good Monday Morning, Friends! My Soul Intention: you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to be kind. The smallest act of kindness is more powerful than anything else you could do to restore peace and unity in your home. When my husband and I first got married my mother would write me letters once a week. Each letter she wrote was signed, “Be kind to one another.” I didn’t understand the importance of her words until I had been married several years. Then I got it. It’s easy to take one another for granted and forget the importance of being kind. The act of kindness is an assignment I give each of the married couples I work with. Three small acts of kindness per day can calm a conflicted marriage and improve intimacy, because kindness has a healing effect on the giver as much as it does the receiver. Being brilliant is wonderful, but brilliance is sterile without kindness.
